It was the afternoon of the 29th when a storm complex developed in the metro area. Flooding rainfall impact about half the metro area. A bit more isolated was the hail that developed before 3pm - mostly on the south side.
Centennial, Highlands Ranch, and Southern Aurora reported nickel to golfball size hail. The largest of the reports came from Centennial.
According to the National Weather Service, insured losses topped 213 million dollars, ranking the storm as the eighth most expensive to hit the state.
It's not too late for us to see thunderstorms this year. There is a chance of storms Friday to close out the month.
